Creating a brand system for a local Montessori School
Conveying the beauty and importance of the Amazon Rainforest
The Morpho Institute is an organization that invites K-12 teachers from the US to stay in the Amazon, where they learn more about rainforest conservation and the importance of the Amazon, in the hopes of relaying this to American citizens.

The logo was inherited from the previous brand system, and it was the client's wish to achieve a more sophisticated and elegant brand. They wanted their brand to reflect the serious and important work that they do, and that would inspire people to take interest in the Amazon.

The client spent time speaking with me about the way one feels when standing in the depths of th earth's lungs, surrounded by ancient life. The Amazon is both slow with ancient heaviness, and teaming with vibrant life. It is dark and bright; it is impenetrable, yet it hangs in the balance.

This color palette, a lush sett of greens, prove the sophistication that the Morpho Institute was looking for, and the paired blues, taken from the wings of the real morpho butterfly, pop with lively vibrancy, as the butterfly wings do in the real Amazon rainforest.

A series of graphic elements were created for the Morpho Institute's use across various deliverables. The meandering nature of the mono-width line work is inspired by the Amazon Rainforest's slow, ancient strength.
