The idea for the quilt icon was inspired by the mission of CHC: providing a network of care and support that strengthens the entire community. The public health clinic brings together various services and reaches diverse individuals across two counties to foster well-being. The quilt, with its inherent symbolism of warmth, community, and the weaving together of different elements, offered a meaningful upgrade, better reflecting the clinic's role in supporting the health and wellbeing of Benton and Linn counties.

Old logo vs. new logo
Based on my research into BVG, it became clear that the logo needed to embody Berlin, drawing from the city's rich history and spirit. Berlin has experienced a tumultuous and violent past, marked by war and separation. Today, it is a thriving and diverse metropolis where people celebrate the freedom and connection that is now theirs.

Continuing with the theme of warmth from the quilt, we aimed to shift the perception of CHC from something potentially clinical or neglected to one that feels welcoming, vibrant, and full of life. The brightness injects energy and approachability and evokes feelings of happiness, health, and growth.

Various patterns were extrapolated from the logo, continuing the themes of connectedness, diversity, warmth, and security.
